Accreditation vs Non-Accreditation

     You work hard for your degree or diploma, so university degree or diploma must be of exceptional quality!

     An accreditation body ensures that standards of practice are in place and offers a university, college or other the right to issue degrees and diplomas. Renowned universities, colleges and other educational institutions have the examination of an accreditation, ensuring that certain academic standards are met. Accreditation agencies, themselves, are bound to strict rules and are reviewed by educational organizations such as the Council of Higher Education and Accreditation (CHEA) and the United States Department of Education (USDE) to ensure practices and standards of quality.

     The accreditation bodies are private organizations that grant accreditation based on several criteria, some of which include:

     @. Programs of excellence
     @. Quality of Faculty
     @. Eligibility and selection rules
     @. Availability of services for students

     If an accrediting agency finds that the school, university or other institution to meet these standards are awarded accreditation, but the process does not end there. Once accredited, an institution, school, university or otherwise subject to periodic review, where they will be asked to show evidence of educational maintenance and necessary improvements in all areas. It is not enough to gain accreditation, an accreditation agency will ensure that a school, university or other institution that measures to maintain their certification and continue to award college degrees of quality and diplomas.

     There are two types of accreditation:

     @. Institutional Accreditation: Accreditation is valid based on global standards of curricula, programs, student services, and more. Institutional accreditation can be regional or national level.

     @. Accreditation Accreditation specialized, or Professional planning is granted according to the standards of practice and the quality of the curriculum in the context of a specific program, department, or a specialized school, relating to, or distribution of college, university or other institution, which has already obtained Institutional Accreditation.

     @. You may wonder, "Why would I find an accredited institution, when I can just buy my college diploma or a degree from the University do nothing? Well, if the University do nothing is not certified, you just lost your hard earned money non-accredited institutions are the equivalent of medical miracle pills that promise results with little effort or no they are simply ineffective:. A non-accredited institutions will probably cost you in the following areas:

     @. Reputability - You might consider the possibility to "buy" your certificate, diploma or degree, and is a clear red flag! If your institution is not accredited, you might as well have printed your degree or college on your printer.

     @. Economically - non-accredited institutions are approved to offer federal financial aid all possible, loans, grants or scholarships.

     @. Employability - Employers take into account the certificate, diploma or other higher education you have earned, and they care about the institution that issued it! A certificate, diploma or degree from an institution not accredited may cost you your dream job or promotion in your current field of practice.

     @. Portability-not expect to transfer the credits earned in an accredited institution in an accredited institution.

     @. Licensure / Certification - Most states require successful completion of an accredited program before they can "sit in" a state study.

     It is important to avoid the colleges, universities and colleges do not intend to apply for accreditation. With countless schools, distance education and online everywhere on the Internet these days, it is especially important to do your research and choose a school that not only meets their standards, but of an accreditation body.
